May 9th, 2026 Oakland Robot Track Meet Info

Robot Track Meets are open to the public! If you're coming to support a team, or considering starting a team of your own, please join us at one of our track meets!

This year, the local high school FIRST Robotics team Infinite Loop will be hosting the track meet at Messalonskee Middle School. The address for this venue is 33 School Bus Dr, Oakland, ME 04963. There is an area to drop off teams/equipment right in front of the entrance, and then a large parking lot to park for the duration of the event. These are indicated on the image below.

Here is the approximate schedule for the day (subject to change):

8:30 AM Doors open to teams and public
9:20 AM Coaches meeting with officials
9:30 AM Opening Ceremony
9:45AM - 10:00 AM Competition begins
11:30 AM Lunch break
12:00 PM Competition resumes
1:00-2:00 PM Competition ends
1:20-2:20 PM Awards begin
2:00-3:00 PM Track meet complete

The order for robot events is as follows (subject to change):
The Fastest Robot:  (morning, starting event)
The Slope Climber:  (morning, starting event)
The Strongest Robot:  (morning, starting event)
The Steeplechase:  (morning, following fastest)
The Table Clearer:  (morning, second string of events)
The Delivery Mission: (morning, second string of events)
The Walking Robot Race:  (usually 1st in afternoon)
The Robot Speed Build:  (usually 2nd in afternoon)
The Ping Pong Shot Put:  (usually 3rd in afternoon)
The Strongest Bridge:  (afternoon, last event)
